EXPO 2000, World Exposition in Hanover, Germany - from 1.6. to 31.10.2000 The
Tin/Can Technology was presented to the world community for the first time during the exposition. An entire restaurant made of tin/cans was erected in Africa Hall. The restaurant was manufactured in
Lesotho and shiped to Germany. The Tin/Can Restaurant was very well accepted by the visitors, organisors and the media. It became one of the highlights of the Africa Hall and EXPO 2000.
The restaurant was also utilised as a meeting and celebration venue by many heads of states, e.g. King Letsie III from Lesotho for his national reception, SPD (german leading party) for a lunch meeting,
President of Portugal for lunc and a photo shoot for the President of South Africa, Thabo Mbeki.
